The free call-before-you-dig service that has underground utility lines marked before excavation starts.
Tennessee 811 is the state call-before-you-dig service. Before you dig, you contact them, and member utilities mark the approximate location of their underground lines. Waterproofing often means digging along a foundation, trenching a yard for a French drain or burying a downspout line, all of which can pass near gas, electric, water and communication lines. In Nashville and across the state, calling before you dig is both a safety step and a standard part of a careful job.
We are a private waterproofing company and are not part of Tennessee 811. We call for utility marking before any digging on our jobs, and we explain how long it usually takes so the schedule makes sense. If you plan your own digging, we encourage you to visit the official site and follow its instructions.
